Two Group Shows in 2012
I was invited to exhibit at the 8th China Contemporary Ceramics Biennial, in Hangzhou, capital of east China's Zhejiang Province, in June, 2012. Some 200 artists from across the country presented their works at the show.

I will be in "Across the Divide" show this June. Here is the an excerpt of news release:
Across the Divide will encompass the vast array of contemporary ceramics in the sculptural and installation genres. This exhibition features large-scale sculptural ceramic artwork, and uses the Continental Divide as a metaphor for the artist working in clay. The show reaches across that divide to artists who have distinguished their work from traditional techniques and stereotypes within the medium. Participating artists were encouraged to submit work that pushes boundaries.
This exhibition features artists from across the country. All forms of ceramic sculpture, installation and new media work will be included. All works will have some ceramic component and range in scale from hand held to monumental.

Main-Lining Ceramics

As part of the National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts (NCECA), Main Line Art Center will present a juried exhibition of artists working with ceramics from PA, NJ, DE, DC, MD and NY. Ceramic work can include sculpture, installations, mixed media and new technologies. This exhibition promotes the idea of pushing boundaries and expectations for working with clay.
About the Juror:
Glen R. Brown is a critic and full professor of art history at Kansas State University. An elected member of the International Academy of Ceramics in Geneva, Switzerland, he has written extensively about contemporary and historical ceramics.
His publications have appeared in more than thirty different journals, including Ceramics: Art and Perception; Cerámica; American Ceramics; Ceramics Monthly; American Craft; Sculpture; Ceramics Technical; Temperature; Sculpture (Beijing); Ceramic Review; Kerameiki Techni; The NCECA Journal; and World Sculpture News.
In addition to writing about ceramics he has authored numerous publications on contemporary metalwork, jewelry, and textile art and is a regular contributor to Ornament magazine. Since 2004 he has been an Associate Fellow of the International Quilt Study Center at the University of Nebraska – Lincoln, and he is currently treasurer of the Kansas Artist Craftsmen Association.

Small Gems is a show giving artists an opportunity to show their work in a diverse gallery in northern Arizona. The Artists' Gallery is a collective serving northern Arizona for 17 years and has been voted the best of Flagstaff for the last 3 years. The title "Small Gems" indicates a show of works that fit in a format of 5" x 3½" x 1". All media are acceptable.

OH+5: An Ohio Border Biennial
Athens, OH (January 15 – February 28, 2010) Discover some of our region's most talented artists at The Dairy Barn Arts Center's OH+5 exhibition. OH+5 is The Dairy Barn's seventh biennial, all-media, juried art exhibition featuring artists from Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. Jurors include Brian Harper, Assistant Professor of Fine Art and Head of Ceramics Area at Indiana University; Dennis Harrington, Director of the Alice F. and Harris K. Weston Art Gallery; and Simone Osthoff, Associate Professor of Critical Studies at the School of Visual Arts Pennsylvania State University. OH+5 was created with the goal of featuring a wide array of contemporary art that varies in size, style, and media. This year's OH+5 exhibition will expand viewers' awareness and appreciation of the variety of media, techniques and innovative trends in contemporary art. Many of the artworks will be available for purchase.
